Day 7 – Faith Family Work Day

Elder Construction has partnered with Faith Family to remodel their space to fit their growing needs. Our team had a fulfilling day of hard work helping with various construction activities at the home. After the remodel is complete, the house will be transformed and called home to seven homeless families.

Many hands make for light work! Work done by our wonderful volunteers included:

  • Setting and fitting existing old doors to ready them for paint
  • Painted lots of trim! base, casing, door jams, cabinets, shelves, etc.
  • Ceramic tiles installed at the tub
  • Replaced all of the ceiling in the Play Room
  • Patched drywall cracks and caulked windows, base, trim, etc.
  • Removed old and installed new cedar shake siding

We also want to give a big ‘Thanks’ to Jason Kraft with PVA, and Ryan Wimmer & Matt Bridgeman with Highpoint Electric! Jason installed new exhaust fans in 2 bathrooms, relocated a thermostat and checked filters on furnaces – very much appreciated! Ryan and Matt installed new LED light fixtures and did miscellaneous electrical work – awesome!

It was a great day and much was accomplished!
