Our team is excited to help Associates In Family Medicine’s team better serve Windsor residents. Plotted for the southeast corner of Main Street and 17th Street, the two-story, 14,200-square-foot
building will include a new urgent care while also expanding AFM’s existing primary care services within the Windsor community – where the practice has been caring for patients for the past 12 years.
“Our new medical facility will be the perfect opportunity to continue providing the high-level, compassionate care that our Windsor patients have come to expect,” said Dr. Elizabeth Maes, physician at the existing Windsor clinic. “Whether they’re visiting our urgent care or coming in for a scheduled office visit, our patients can expect hometown doctors and exceptional care every time.”
With nearly five times the square footage, 26 exam rooms, and increased access for acute conditions, the location will deliver non-emergency urgent care, in addition to full-spectrum family medicine, obstetrics, pediatrics, and radiology services.
The new urgent care clinic will add to AFM’s current services in Windsor by accommodating more patients. Additionally, patients will have access to quick, same-day care while also being seamlessly connected to AFM’s primary care services and other providers and specialists in the area.
“As Windsor and the surrounding communities continue to grow, we want to meet the imminent need for quality patient care that’s convenient and accessible,” said Dr. James Sprowell, CEO of AFM. “The new urgent care will provide a beneficial alternative for non-emergent issues to help patients avoid expensive emergency room fees.” In an effort to support economic growth in the region, AFM is partnering with local businesses to design and construct the new facility.
