Day 2 – ReStore Deconstruct

Recently, FEMA purchased homes that are sliding in the Broadmoor Bluffs area. ReStore is assisting in deconstructing materials from the homes that can be reused. ReStore helps Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity build the community, and our time deconstructing the homes directly impacts our neighbors. On November 2nd, our team spent time removing flooring, base trim, fixtures, hand railings, cabinets and solar panels. It’s great to work hard and have a part in helping our community, and hopefully saving these items for other homes.

ReStore is a great opportunity for you to get involved by donating items that can be resold, like gently used furniture, appliances, and building materials. Profits raised from the ReStore go toward building affordable homes in the community.
