Mountain View Fire Rescue Maintenance Facility
Elder Construction was the Design-Assist prime contractor for the Mountain View Fire Rescue (MVFR) Maintenance Facility with a value of $4.8 million. As West Mead and the neighboring communities grow, MVFR experienced increased demand on their team to keep these communities safe. With land donated by Anadarko, they seized the opportunity to provide a new 23,000 square foot facility to maintain their equipment, house staff, and increase their storage. It was also important to MVFR to utilize cost-effective strategies of tax dollars for this building. The facility includes:
- 2,400 sq. ft. of office space on the 2nd floor mezzanine
- 20,700 sq. ft. of space dedicated to five clear-story pull-through bays and ample room for storage
- LEED Silver awarded project
Mountain View Fire Rescue Administration Building
The renovated facility will include a variety of functional and modern spaces, such as a training room, multipurpose room, fitness room, vintage storage, EMS storage, and two offices for the Boulder County Sheriff. Upgrades will also include a new roof, fresh exterior paint, multiple conference rooms, numerous offices, kitchen and break areas, and enhanced audio/video capabilities. A dedicated logistics and quartermaster area will support operations. Additionally, a state-of-the-art conference center with seating for up to 190 people, along with multiple classrooms and meeting spaces, will support expanded training, education, and community outreach programs.
