This project includes comprehensive preconstruction, cost estimating, and general contracting services for the interior renovation and tenant improvement of Mill City Church, located within a shared facility with Axis Charter School. The renovation scope focuses on transforming the existing lobby, auditorium, restrooms, classroom entrance area, and the reconfiguration and upgrade of the existing elevator shaft and cab to better serve the church’s growing needs.
The work includes selective demolition, reconfiguration of key spaces, and modern upgrades to finishes and systems to create a more welcoming and functional environment for worship, gathering, and education. Due to the building’s shared use with an active school, construction will be carefully phased to minimize disruption and ensure safety, with certain areas only accessible for construction during school breaks.
Elder Construction is working closely with church leadership to meet schedule, budget, and quality expectations, with the goal of delivering a refreshed and purpose-driven space ready for the next chapter of Mill City Church’s ministry.
